WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) recently announced that National Retirement Planning Week 2015 will take place April 13-17, and IRI is providing access to a variety of materials to help advisors make the most of the campaign.
Held during financial literacy month, National Retirement Planning Week is led by the National Retirement Planning Coalition, a group of prominent education, consumer advocacy and financial services organizations that have joined together to promote and increase awareness of the need for comprehensive retirement planning.
As part of efforts to promote National Retirement Planning Week, IRI is making several resources and materials available to advisors to help spread the message in their communities.

The kit includes a checklist of ways to participate; a social media plan, a sample op-ed letter, a sample press release, newsletter copy, a list of NRPC members, and a variety of ad units/public service announcement options aligning advisors as proud sponsors of National Retirement Planning Week 2015.
Schedule of events and activities
Monday, April 13: IRI will host a kickoff conference call for journalists and unveil new research findings from its fifth annual report on Baby Boomers’ retirement expectations. The call will feature a panel representing financial literacy advocates and industry experts.
Tuesday, April 14: Social Security Day. Educational events and resources will focus on Social Security as part of a retirement strategy, including an IRI-hosted continuing education webinar for financial professionals. The webinar will be conducted in partnership with Franklin Templeton Investments and feature Fox Business columnist Gail Buckner.
Wednesday, April 15: IRI will convene a retirement security discussion during a Capitol Hill luncheon event at noon.
Thursday, April 16: Health Care in Retirement Day. Health care needs in retirement will be in the spotlight as IRI and HealthView Services partner to provide a continuing education webinar for financial professionals.
