2 Massive Cases

OP. You still have not mentioned anything about the design of the product.

And doing months of work before getting paid is how this side of the business works. Quick commissions are how Term & FE works.

Total first month combined comp should be around or slightly over $2k based on the premium you mentioned. (assuming the policies are designed correctly).

Yet you are worried about a $3k advance and want to move IMOs because of it.

Now maybe your current IMO is not well suited for this type of case. And THAT is a reason to change IMOs. But an advance is the LAST reason you should change IMOs on a case like this.

It may not seem like it at times, but the comp will work itself out. Ive never once regretted going As Earned. And would never recommend taking an advance on a large case.

Again, you should be much more worried about professional liability in this situation (which goes back to case design). An E&O claim is going to put a much larger dent in your income than working a large case...

(speaking as a young single father with 13 years in this business... not that it matters...)

Bingo.
And I am curious as to why 2 cases vs just one.

Why did you leave the other two carriers after such short times? You said you wrote big cases with both, so why would you leave? You don't have cash flow so you're trying to get paid everything upfront?

The church deal things I always wonder about. They seem to fall apart real quick and turns into a mess.

Your posts which I have read over the past few days without commenting seems to revolve around how quickly can you get paid, rather than making sure it is good business that stays on the books. As earned is probably the safest way for you to go, but you seem to think somebody out there is going to advance you a bunch of money on a less than certain thing.

You claim 7 years in sales, yet don't understand we get paid last in all of these things. That is why several are telling you wrap this up and go back to work. Steady commissions come from steady work. Good luck
