I had a big giant Dell color laser printer for 10 years and did a LOT of printing back then. I only needed toners about every 12-18 months.

Now I have a Brother and do very little printing and I'm using them up every three months.

I should have kept the Dell. That thing was HUGE though.

Maybe there was more toner in the huge dell vs. the brother?

Kodak touts their printer as being, I believe the "most efficient" on ink usage. Has anyone used one?

You can get that discount all year long. I just printed 1000 4 page newsletters, lead sheet pads and a bunch of other crap- about $400 worth- $132.

That discount card is absolutely worth it's weight in gold.

I haven't had any issues except I don't get the ink level monitor but $50 for one HP ink or $16.99 from Monoprice I'll deal with it.

I took the last empty cartage to Costco to try out the refill service. The ink worked great. They refilled it while we roamed around Costco. It only cost me about $275. but I have Mayonnaise and toilet paper to last a year.
