529 Account Changes

So, my group of Facebook fanatics are all posting about the possible 529 taxation changes coming down the pipeline. Anyone think this will actually happen?

It wont happen. Even if Obama can get the congress to pass this it only applies to contributions going forward. Current accounts and their earnings would be grandfathered. Now if this were to pass, suddenly Whole life for college savings plan would take off like a rocket. So I am really not concerned about this as insurance agent.

I don't think it will happen either, at least not in the next 2 years. After that, we don't know what the house/senate/potus will look like. If the liberals had it their way, they'd ram this through right now along with alot of other garbage.
