SSI or SSDI? If he's on Medicare then it would have to be SSDI.




SS is what you get when you are retirement age

SSDI is what you get when you go on disability before retirement age

SSI is what you get in addition to either SS or SSDI if your SS or SSDI income is below aprox. 750.00 monthly.Example: if you only earn 400 on SS or SSDI then you SSDI will be 350.00.Anybody that gets SSI automatically qualifies for Medicaid even though their asset level may be above the State Medicaid amounts to qualify fora Medicare Savings Program that pays the 104.90 Part B Premium
