According to footnotes I see when looking at an AARP dental plan page, their Delta Dental administered plan is provided by Dentegra in some states, including IA.
If having Dentegra policies without an AARP relationship would give you any benefit, maybe you would be able to contract with them. Not an agent so I cannot pursue that any further.
