Just posted a pair of related articles (links below) about a new study that finds coffee drinkers pay nearly 20% more on average for life insurance, and 8 tips from an agent on how to “game” a life insurance paramedical exam to improve results – and therefore premium rates.

It got me to wondering what kind advice agents are (or should be) providing to applicants in advance of their paramedical exam?

Sure there are some no-brainers – no caffeine or alcohol, limit salt in the 24 hours before an exam, etc. – but what are some other tips you provide to applicants that might help them earn that better rate? Best day and time of day? When to cancel?

early in the morning.......drink lots of water the day before and do not eat a pizza the night before......recommend salad and grilled chicken....

Stretch, where lite shoes with a heel, stand tall chest out. Answer the questions asked but do not embellish. Have your meds, Doctor information and ID available. Drink plenty of water the night before.
