Aetna Rates Reducing In June...

in one of the states I am very active in. New business by about 15% and existing business a bit less.

if they lowered rates 15% in my area, they'd be just expensive as opposed to laughably, out-of-the-question expensive.

However, nice to see a downward adjustment for once. not many of those lately

At this point they could cut their rates in half and I still wouldn't send another piece of business to them.

I understand where you are all coming from. But if Aetna is right for my client, that's who I recommend. I'm not happy with the 8% plus bonus, but at two apps per week with them, that's the way it goes.

Our production level with them is at the 4% level, hence my statement. I am with somarco.

I have to. When you don't call people unless they call you first, you better make sure the client is viewing their best options.

Out of the last 100 policies sold, none were with Aetna. They aren't even close to Anthem on rates...no reason to start now for 4%.
