Aetna! The gift that keeps on giving year round!

Did Aetna "pull" the contract or did the hospital give them the boot?

Quite a few hospitals are reducing the number of MA plans they will accept.

Search for . . . are hospitals limiting the number of medicare advantage
plans

According to the report, 16% of health systems are planning to stop accepting one or more Medicare Advantage plans in the next two years. Another 45% said they are considering the same but have not made a final decision.

Health systems have been increasingly pushing back on Medicare Advantage.

Yup, just found out recently that BCBS of Tennessee is losing the Vanderbilt system in Nashville and surrounding areas (again). Looks like I will be moving a lot of my BCBS clients to Humana or UHC.

Interesting. I have maybe like 5 Aetna MAPD clients it isn't a big seller in my area. I am interested in their new plan that has a high monthly premium and a low out of pocket cost aimed at people coming off med supp.

GA has 3 plans with a premium . . .$16, $28 & $38. In network OOP in the $8k - $9k rang. Two HMO, the rest are PPO.

Not my idea of a "Medigap killer"
