Aflac BenefitFocus

I see that Aflac is now working with a company called BenefitFocus which provides online platforms for both health insurers and employers to offer their products to employees. Right now it seems limited to larger comapanies, as only Aflac's group products are available. Is this just another sign that Aflac is abandoning its independent agents? Anyone hear if they will be using this same platform to offer policies directly to small employers and even to individuals?
