Agency License Question

Hello all,

I have another question....

I am licensed as an individual in both NJ & NY and my resident state is NJ.

I am now starting an agency in NY which my office will be located and which my llc is setup in.

I am at the point where I have to apply for an agency license, however the NIPR has me applying for my agency license in NJ since that is where my resident license is.

Am I still able to conduct business and be located in NY if my agency license will be in NY ?

I believe that you will need to obtain a non-resident license for NY, because you will need to have a license for any state you conduct business.

I only know this for certain, because I will be (hopefully) getting licensed in Colorado, but obtaining non-resident licenses' for AZ, CA, NV, OR, and Washington State, which is where I'll be moving next year.
