Alabama Options for Brokers...... Not BCBSAL..

Well, I just learned BCBSAL does not contract brokers.

What are the other options might one look too?
I don't know who will be offer QHP's in the state, north west is of course rural.

Just doing the research...

I live in Alabama. I could have sworn that the legislation read that in order for companies to offer products on the exchange they had to be sold either online or by brokers that were contracted with all companies. Be interesting to see if they can price themselves low enough to get the market share without brokers.

and i didn't answer your question. lol. Humana is on there and contracts with brokers but they are so much higher than bcbs that it would be a disservice to sell it. in the medicare market bcbs of al has the highest prices and the market share. it's sad....
