Any Free Certifications Online?

I have been asked by a firm to write for their site, however they are requiring me to obtain some 'credential' before I can began. I am interested in seeing what programs are available that are online based and free.

Here's the starting list of credentials to get you started:
Designations List - FINRA

None are free. Most are a minimum of $1,000 to $5,000 to obtain... and take several weeks to years to obtain.
