Any Implications for COBRA if You Move Out of State?

I don't handle individual or group health at this point and never have had anything to do with group health. Maybe I should have since I get as many questions about that as anything else over the years.

The question here has to do with someone who has moved out of state, in this case, LA to GA. Even though she moved about 3 months ago, apparently she was still on the payroll of her LA company until the end of this month, so she still had group coverage.

Since she moved out of state, does that cause any problems for COBRA? It looks like you have to be a resident of GA for 6 months to qualify for the Risk Pool, which would be her only other choice due to her current health issues. She can get the question answered by her benefits administrator, of course, but I'm curious to know the answer nonetheless.
