Anyone Do Work in or Know an Agent in Puerto Rico?

Husband is age 66, retiring and group benefits will end on February 28th. He will enroll in Part B and take a Med Supp or MA plan.

Wife is age 64 and will turn 65 in September 2010. Options for her are:
1. take Cobra at approx $500/month or
2. find an individual plan until she is Medicare eligible.

I'm hopeful of finding an agent in either Ponce or San Juan to assist them.

Thank you.

Don't know any agents but I believe the MA benefits are pretty rich especially in San Juan.

A little fun fact: Medicare cards issued to Puerto Rican residents are the hard plastic ID cards - so they got that going for them ,which is nice.

I have several agents in Puerto Rico using YIO.

If you will send an e-mail with the detailed information to [email protected] I will forward it to them. The two of you can then work out the details.

I just spoke to one of them who said he could help. I will PM his info to you.

I should get licensed in Puerto Rico.....it would sure beat the cold winters in MI. Maybe St. Thomas also :) I wonder what the counts are for people turning 65
