I am considering between beginning my career at one of these two companies. Both seem like possible places to grow long term, but have some key differences that I am not sure how to navigate. If anyone can give me their opinions on either of these companies to help me decide I would really appreciate it. For Nilico, I am specifically interested in anyone who has worked at the Theodore Pappas Agency in LIC.

Haven't worked with Pappas and am not in New York City (thank goodness!) but I do wish you the best of luck with your new career.

I worked with NILICO upstate (real upstate, not Orange county). It's a tough gig, but they will usually give you leads and if you leave you're not going to get jammed up with getting a release because they won't get you appointed with anyone but them.

If I had it to do over again, I still would have gone with NILICO.
