Ran the numbers on medicare.gov and it looks like that is the plan that will be cheapest for my pops this upcoming year. He had his PDP through BCBS last year, but it looks like the same plan would be over $400 more expensive this upcoming year.

How accurate is the pricing tool on Medicare.gov? I tried finding a pricing tool on the Humana website but have failed. I don't want to commit to any plan before I have the correct prices, using their system.

Humana Walmart is a solid pdp. $0 on tier 1/2 via mail order makes them a great fit for people taking a lot of generics. The med.gov site seems to be working correct for me in Missouri. Couple glitches here and there but so far faster than last yr

Watch out for the brands though, it'll bite em in the butt

If someone is taking brands it may not be the best choice due to the $360 deductible - just like a many others.

But please explain "bite 'em in the butt." Not quite sure what you mean by that.

Are you suggesting paying $40 a month just in case so they can avoid the $360 deductible?

Rick
