Anyone been involved in a data transfer from Applied to AMS? If so, how did it go and what information did not transfer correctly?

I know that when I contact AMS about a data transfer, I will be assured that it will be flawless. Would like to hear form someone that has actually been through it.

Our agency had a producer move with his book. We are on TAM and his new agency was on AMS360. Things you need to know:

-The process needs to be planned months in advance. Their conversion teams are usually booked 2-3mos out.
-Upload/download of your data to Applied can be done via FTP for Overnight mail a portable hard drive (recommend you encrypt it!).
-You will have a conversion specialist from Applied and one from Vertafore.
-Mapping the data is critical and you'll spend long hours on this. For example, your Applied carrier codes (ABD, HAR, PHO) will have to convert to new format codes in AMS. Making sure your Applied coding translates over to AMS is critical.
-AMS will process small batches of the data you send them, excel form or other format showing you the fields that have mapped in a test run from Applied to AMS360, this is in order to look for any signs of trouble.
-Pay Applied the $2-3k to decrypt your emails. Most emails attached in TAM prior to 2013 via drag&drop are encrypted and you won't be able to open them or the attachments without this.
-I only got a few mentions about the success of the transfer to AMS. I heard they went a few weeks longer without their data in AMS360 than they thought, not sure what went wrong. Have a backup or some sort of workaround in place.
-If we move to AMS360 I'm going to work even harder on ensuring the data converts perfectly. I will also take screenshots of 10-20 samples of attachments, activities, and other misc items in our current agency management system, then cross-check how they are output into the new system once we go live.
