Are Life Settlements legal in NC?

I received a mailer from Consolidated Brokers in Kansas, and it talked about getting into the Life Settlement market, among other things. When I called to speak to a rep about it, he said that "Life Settlements were not available in NC". I hear a lot about Life Settlements, but not much here in NC. Was he right?

Yes you can do a Life Settlement in NC. NC is a regulated state meaning that all brokers and funders have to be licenced by the state to do business. You can usually get a list off of your states department of insurance website.

I would suggest using a company that only does LS. More experiance and contacts for your clients.
