BCBSFL HIPAA Plans?

I have a client moving to FL that is HIPAA eligible until March 5th, so she can either purchase a Virginia HIPAA policy that is portable to FL, or buy a FL HIPAA policy. Does anyone here know how BCBSFL rates their HIPAA policies? Is it just a percentage on top of the standard premium, or some specific rating formula that they've come up with? Does BCBSFL contract with independent non-resident agents?

no idea since they do not pay comp on those cases, just like aetna and humana.

10% (standard commission) of the base rate, they don't pay on rate-up.

Florida rates are more restricted (by regulation), so I think your client would be much happier, rate wise, with the Florida policy (although you may not get compensated).

They quoted $1k+ per month, better off porting over a VA plan

I'm looking at having her do a GR HIPAA plan in VA and then porting it to FL. In FL they only allow you to choose Copay Select w/ $2500 or $5k deductibles with 80/20 co-insurance. In VA, they can choose any plan/deductible/co-insurance option and just multiply the rate by 220%.

Yes, not direct though but through an MGA. Message me if you would like to discuss this, I am currently recruiting non residents.
