Bernie's Promise to Bankrupt Health Insurance with Berniecare

I made the mistake of watching the democrat debate over the weekend. I was surprised to hear Bernie Sanders say he wants bankrupt the health insurance industry if elected president with his Berniecare. He is leading in all the polls. How likely is it that he could bankrupt the entire health insurance industry with Berniecare and will I need to find a new career ?

One of my biggest medical claims was a Canadian on a Cigna Intl plan.
I was able to insure him on a group plan 10 years ago after his event. His government was not interested to save his butt and pay his bills prior to him being covered by Cigna Intl.
I had a rare opportunity to look at some Canadian hospital medical bills and they are just as high priced as here in the USA. There's a lot of BS on TV

It looks like Obama really got Americans hooked with promises and delivery of free stuff. Bernie makes him look like Ebenezer Scrooge by comparison.

Exactly AC! Obama doesn't like capitalism but he understands it's the least worst option. Bernie on the other hand believes there is a better system and hell be damned he's gonna try it.
 
I believe we are heading towards a one payer system in the next 3-5 years. CMS runs Medicare and Medicare Advantage and this Obamacare market. I believe that Obamacare was never designed to succeed but only be a stepping stone to a nationalized government run health care system. I cannot however see how we can let our big insurance carriers like BCBS, UHC, AETNA, Ect fail. I think we will be bailing them out like we did the auto manufactures a few years ago. I think they will soon all be under government contracts (like the military) to supply and run networks and plan operations. I can see a future where we are all taxed for Healthcare but still have to buy a supplement to cover what our government plan does not. I plan on having to turn my book at least one more time. For those who can withstand the turmoil there will plenty of opportunity. There is a ton of opportunity right now but it is hard to invest so much energy when the future is uncertain that's for sure.

Bernie Sanders is a Socialist, so no they don't like capitalism or a free market economy.

This is what happens when republicans go so far to the right that they fall off the deep end. When greed has goes unchecked and so out of control that 5^% of the population makes 95% of the money, so the other 95% or roughly 250 million people have to fight over their breadcrumbs, the door is opened up for us to lose our freedoms. Freedom of choice (or what little of it we are holding on to) will be the first thing to go.
