I have a P & C license and am currently an in-office broker. It pays the bills, and all leads are provided, but the hours are long and the income could be better. Once I have a bit saved up, I am considering becoming a 1099 agent or broker and selling insurance on my own (beginning with auto insurance only). I would like to work for myself and set my own hours, as well as have my own stream of leads/residual income.
From your own experience/research, do you have any advice as to what approach/specific companies would be best? Thanks in advance.
