Beware of SENIOR MARKET SALES

They tell you one thing and do another.

I picked up a few contracts with Senior Market Sales a few years ago, at street level commissions. When I was debating signing a contract I asked the lady over the phone "Will you release me when asked?" "Absolutely." She responded. Now, being an old fashioned type of guy that I am, somebody's word goes a long way for me.

Last spring I decided I wanted to start a small downline, and recruit a few agents that live in some of the surrounding counties. I was planning to offer training, and some basic leads support. So I decided to call SMS, and ask them to bump my contract up a level, and to let them know that I wanted to start recruiting. "Sure Thing!" They said....

Little did I know storm clouds were brewing, and the evil that is Senior Market Sales was just beginning.

I should have known something wasn't right when I heard the 'Dr. Evil' laugh in the background, and lightning struck right outside my window at that exact second. But, being raised in small town in the south, I am a pretty trusting person, and didn't think much of it. But boy-oh-boy! I was about to be taken for a ride by the big City Slickers at Senior Market Sales!

Not only did they NEVER bump my contracts up like they told me they would, they stole EVERY SINGLE AGENT I SENT THEM! They put the agents under Senior Market Sales (Not Me!), and began to solicit my agents for more contracts! Without my knowledge! (I found this out, via a conversation from one of my agents.)

So I decide to move my Medicare contracts over to another FMO that I use. Todd King. Who by the way, is the most honest FMO I have yet to meet in this business. He also returns email, phone calls fast than anyone I have ever met. And more importantly, he does exactly what he says he will do. (And he didn't even pay me to say that!)

So at this point in the story, it is no longer Spring of 2015. It is now September of 2015, and what a wonderful time of year it is in Florida. The scorching heat of summer is fading away, yet it is still warm enough to wear flip flops, shorts and a T-shirt, while you relax on your boat with an ice cold beer. Preferably an IPA.

So, I ask Senior Market Sales to release me. They ask about who I am switching over to. I say "Why, Todd King of course!" They never heard of him, so I give SMS his contact information, and they look into it. SMS finds out that his upline is Neishloss & Flemming, and confirm they have a reciprocal agreement with them.

Everything seems to be ok at this point.

Then suddenly they do a 180. I mean, they flip flop their position faster than Hillary Clinton does when talking to a Wall Street exec about donating an extra Million to her "charity foundation" so she can fly around on her private jet and pretend to be a kind, charitable, "woman".

They tell me I have to wait until after the New Year, because they have a moratorium on releasing agents due to AEP.

I thought this sounded reasonable.

So I wait.

I wait through the harsh Florida winter. I mean it got cold guys. There was one night, it got down to almost 32 degrees! I had to put my flip flops in the closet, and break out my actual shoes, wear pants, and.... a jacket! There was no going out on the boat this December. No sir!

So January rolls around. And I didn't ask for the release immediately. I had several other thing going on, which didn't lend me the time to fight with SMS about the release. But around mid-January, I send the email asking for the release.

And now they're telling me that they dont have a reciprocal agreement with Neishloss & Flemming (even though my contracts are not through them, but through Todd King(SMS seems to be mostly ignoring Todd King at this point)), and are telling me that this release can "take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to play out."

Senior Market Sales is playing games, and is trying to hold me hostage. Much like Hillary Clinton is trying to do with her email server. And I just wanted everyone to be aware about what kind of games this "Family Owned" company in Nebraska plays with agent's lives.

Don't forget the name of the FMO I am recommending you stay away from.
Senior Market Sales.

To add to this story, I've told them several times that my upline for the particular companies he wants releases from do not go through Neishloss, they just seem to ignore me. I've sent emails and called them several times (had to leave messages). They still insist in a reciprocal agreement from Neishloss. I'm considering having Neishloss do a useless reciprocal with them just to get this completed.

They are doing nothing but playing games. I've released agents to them so they damned well know who I am. Once again, they're just playing games at this point. It can be nothing else.

Wow. Not cool, not cool.

I thought SMS had a good reputation on the forum. Glad to get the feedback...

Senior Market Sales.

Years ago I had a Cigna MA contract with them...never used it. Their Medicare VP was with Physicians Mutual when I was with them for a couple of years, years ago. I just never liked the "feel" of them.

If you read the owners bio, you'll see that the beginnings of Senior Market Sales has ties to Colonial Penn. That might explain a lot about the way they're acting.

Yes, that must be frustrating for the SMS out of Missouri when people get them confused with the one out of Omaha. The SMS from Missouri is represented on the Forum by a former Forum Mod.
