Anyone know anything about Bisys?? I've been exploring their site with a guest log in and wondered if any of you independent guys have used them and what experience you've had with them. My understanding is they are an MGA and will take a cut of your commission if you use them... Is that correct??

Are they a good company to get with as a new independent?

What are the costs (commission percentages, etc.)?

What are the requirements?

they are a great mga. they have a nice program called life solutions for term and they give a lot of support. They dont take a "cut" but an override. I guess they could be called the same thing. I have tried to go direct with some of the companies they offer and the commissions are higher through them believe it or not. Be with them for a year and think they are great.

They are great

I'm a relatively new agent & they give tons of support on difficult types of insurance to write. I do LTC, life & disability through them. They are great at helping you in areas where you aren't an expert & just support in general. Worth every minute to deal with them.
