Blue Chip Brokers with BCBS

What is the 'Blue Chip Broker' setup like? Please lay out the pros and cons for all of you that sell group benefits as I'd like to see opinions from your own perspective/experience. Thanks!

depends which Blue plan you are referring to. In florida Blue diamond is a level reached based on inforce business. Blue Diamond agents get a higher comp and extra services.

Thank you Grouper. My next question is... How do you maintain that status? If I am hearing correctly from others in our industry, in order to get the overrides/extra commissions (as a BlueChip or BlueDiamond broker) you must renew 98% of the business you place with BCBS. Does that sound right?
