i am brand new to insurance. where can i go to get my e&o? i have no prior experience in insurance and am working as an independent agent in Alabama. i have been turned down by some companies because of lack of experience. can someone help me find a company that will write me an e&o? thank you.

Do you belong to any trade groups like the Independent Insurance Agents or "Big I"

That is where I got my initial policy from.

i do not belong to any group right now. i also checked out e&oforless but the retention is high and also have to become a member of some group which i don't see the need.

Are you in the contracting process for any carriers yet? Some of the carriers I have also have partnerships with E & O companies although I am in a different state than you. I initially had to spend that $50 a month to join a group to get the E & O for $100 a month.

im in the process with getting appointments with Appalachian underwriters and they just a copy of c my e&o to get started. I'll ask them. thanks
