Where is a good place to find agencies that are interested in selling their book of business? Particularly in South Carolina.

look for a business broker specializing in insurance agencies..look at agencyequity.com but I would tell you a business broker will be your best bet in looking for agencies that are currently for sale.

http://www.iiaba.net the might have listing of BOB for sale or call your local association and see who might be in the market.

I also got letter from brokers a year ago asking me if I wanted to sell since they are expanding. It not easy finding a good BOOK for sale.
