Cant Edit Old Posts (20 Freaking Characters... )

It seems that we can no longer edit old posts. Idk what the "time limit" is... but now there appears to be one.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is this just me? At one time we could go back and edit (or erase) any post we put up on the forum. It seems they are now "locked"....

Is this on purpose or just a glitch? Cant say I'm a big fan of this. Many different reasons one would want to go back and edit a post. Hopefully its just a glitch.

It has not always been like that. We used to be able to edit any old post.

Imo, it is our words that we wrote. We should be able to change or erase what we said if we choose to. No matter how long ago it was.

There are possible regulatory concerns with not being able to edit posts depending on someones licensing....

The setting was changed, because some old posts were being edited and harmful links were being put in place.

That's plenty. Most forum sites allow editing for 10 minutes to an hour.

If you need to change an old post, just send a moderator a request. I understand the regulatory concerns, but then, it was probably a concern when it was originally posted, just not caught at the time.
