Thank you for taking the time to read thru the Northwell Direct & Employers Health Network monthly eNewlsetter. Below is a synopsis of the overall value proposition and how we are able to bring a “better” self-funded option/choice to your employer clients. Please reach out to me directly with any additional questions or RFP’s for the upcoming open enrollment and renewal season:

Employers Health Network (EHN) has successfully worked with various hospital system throughout the U.S. to develop proprietary high performing networks (HPN). We then help these health systems to market both their HPN as well as the care management capabilities of the health system as a long term cost savings solution for self-funded employer groups in both the middle and large market segments.

Northwell Direct: In New York, we are working with Northwell Health and have developed a very attractive product. The Northwell Direct Contract provides employers with significant unit cost discounts when compared to the discounts that the largest carriers in the market (BUCA’s), would be able to provide. I believe you will find that the network has similar attributes to the former CareConnect network. That being said, we will write both full replacement or slice business and have access to various network wraps to fit a specific employer’s need.

TPA Services: EHN is not a TPA but we have relationships with several high quality TPA’s and if would like and introduction to review their capabilities, I’m happy to make the connection. However, we are TPA agnostic, if there is a TPA that you would like to leverage with this product, we can most likely accommodate that request.

Stop Loss: EHN is also agnostic when it comes to stop loss, if you have market partners that you normally quote, that is fine. However, if you choose, we can also assist in securing a the most competitive quotes possible. We have worked with several stop loss carriers, spending time with their underwriters to help them fully understand the value of our HPN’s and were able to have the Northwell network rated, allowing for an immediate pricing advantage.

Southern Scripts: is a sister company to EHN and serves as our preferred PBM. Southern Scripts is a fully transparent, fully passthrough PBM which has been growing rapidly in the market. Again, although Southern Scripts is part of the EHN family, we don’t require them to be part of the HPN solution but believe you will be pleased after reviewing a proposal. You can also work with Southern Scripts on a standalone basis outside of EHN if you choose.

  • Austin TX – Seton Healthcare
  • Los Angeles CA – Providence St. Joseph’s
  • Orlando FL – Orlando Health
