Kitches has been promoting the CFP brand for years. It is good to see he is slowly moving away from that.
TV commercials are not cheap. Its all those marketing costs flowing back to the advisors.
As long as the money is spent on marketing I have no issue with paying the fee raise. In my view the CFP is essentially an marketing club with an exclusivity rule for membership. God knows Iv'e wasted marketing money in worse ways.
