CGL Insurance For Churches and Non-Profit Organizations

Hello to all! I'm currently in the process of working on the renewal for one of my client's CGL coverage, and they are a church with quite a sizeable membership base. So much so that they have enlisted the services of medical volunteers, who are made up of members of their church.

Their existing CGL policy does not extend to cover such volunteers and, owed to the significant risks involved, it is understandable that the Insured entity wants to ensure that these volunteers are also afforded coverage. I find myself butting heads with the insurer's underwriter, as he refuses to endorse the policy in order to ensure that the volunteers are covered.

Can any of you suggest the best way to go about this? Is endorsing the policy an adequate measure that would protect the entity and the volunteers from prospective liabilities? Or is it necessary to secure a separate CGL policy just for the volunteers? Thank you!
