I am thinking about starting the classes for this designation in February. Would this be the best designation for a producer and worth the time? Also, if you have taken all classes what were the hardest courses in the program? Thanks

I took and passed the CIC courses about 35 years ago. At the time I was the youngest graduate.

I learned a great deal about P&C and put it to good use. However, to keep the designation I was required to take a course on an annual basis. My choices were a graduate course in oil well insurance or repeat one of the "undergrad" courses.

After several years of doing this I was so bored I could teach them. I would sit in the back of the room and read a book. So I stopped and gave up the designation.

From a knowledge standpoint, it was great.
