Any CRM will do this... Outlook works well too...

Yeah, you need a CRM to keep up with the leads. Without one, there's little chance to follow-up.

Once again... if you don't want to invest in a CRM or use a free one... Outlook will work. Just use the calendar and tasks features to schedule follow-ups and use the contacts section to enter information about clients.
