Is there a carrier that that will accept somebody with MS? I know UNICARE is an automatic decline, but how about the other carriers?

Kinda doubt it, but Scott is the one to answer it.

I have 2 clients with MS. Meds run $2k+ per month. Can't see a carrier biting off on that kind of nut.

sorry, i thought i posted this in the individual health insurance forum.

what kind of coverage does your mom have? was it diagnosed after she had the coverage or was it a pre-existing condition?

She had group coverage through my dad. The place he worked is closing down so they are still on that policy but will lose it shortly. I don't know what she is gonna do then. I thought about putting her on an MA plan (she is 48) with a stand alone part D but avonex alone will cost her around $400 a month on one of those plans. She takes quite a few meds.
