Can anyone give me some insight regarding the number of contacts that are typically needed in order to get a quote/sale for business owners policies?
Is this about right?
Contact 40 people a day x 5 days in a week = 200 contacts
Get 3 or 4 people who are interested in a quote
Complete 1 sale per week.
To me, the hard part of commercial insurance sales is business owners only get serious about a quote when their policy is ready to expire. Business owner will not cancel their existing policy to chase a lower rate because the premium for these policies are paid up early in the term.
