I haven't written much term in years, but have a $30,000AP case ready to underwrite. I was advised by the brokerage that I have used in the past that Pru would be the company to submit to because of the applicant's build of 5'11" and 295#. He is 62. Got him a SNT rate with MOO in 2013. Not sure how that happened but it did. The brokerage is offerring me 95% on Pru. Is that fair?

Made several calls and found out 95% is very generous with Prudential. 20YLT don't pay those 100%+ commission's that it once did.

Got an approval today. Was thinking the case may be rated because the doctor had notes in the applicant's file stating to follow up with specialist for various conditions. I asked the applicant and he said he knew nothing about it. Told the underwriter what I was told. Hoping for a standard rate, but got real nervous after these additional questions. To my surprise the offer is nonsmoker plus. The applicant is very happy thinks I am a miracle worker.
