Conflict of Interest?

Not quite sure if this goes here but if it pleases the court:

Currently I am working for a broker, similar to one that just had a bug IPO. I want to make the jump to opening my own agency the beginning of next year.

My goal is to start ramping my lead gen efforts now to try to optimize by the time I jump ship.

If I’m not doing this in the clock and am writing policies under my current GA with leads generated for the time being is there any conflict here?

working for a broker,

Working FOR implies salary or some kind of W-2 arrangement. Have you signed a non-compete?

Working WITH is generally a 1099.

Even if you are not using the agency facilities, leads, etc to build your new business, if they decide to sue you will have to defend the suit.
