Continental Life Med Supp Rate Increase in Georgia

Just got the notification of the upcoming rate increase. Lower than I had expected. A 9.5% across the board increase. Apps submitted prior to February 1st will get the old rates regardless of the effective date. Apps submitted on or after February 1st with effective dates prior to April 1st get the old rates as well.

It would be a miracle if apps submitted in Feb are approved before April 1.

So they haven't caught up yet?

New Era got behind like quite a few carriers during (and following) AEP, but the ones submitted since 1/1/13 have been approved in 3 days or less.

It came to me in an email. I haven't found their website to be very helpful for most anything.
