Contracting with Aetna And/or Kaiser for MA

Aetna is easy and at least in CA they appoint direct. I don't believe that Kaiser allows independent agents in any state.

Correct on both, Aetna will contract you direct in any state and Kaiser won't. If the money is the same you might get some free leads or coop $ from an FMO. Aetna usually diverts some funding through an FMO so if the money is the same using an FMO can get you some marketing assistance.

It's better to go "direct" with Aetna. They do more than most lazy, greedy FMOs will do for you.

True, one year Aetna chipped in $2,000 towards a 5,000 piece mailing.

Aetna seems to have some issues with the Wellstar Kennestone hosp and some cardiologists.
Fellow associate called to say that he received a letter this weekend noting they will no longer pay the above starting Sept 01,2012.
Seems like every year some issues crop up for this co so I prefer not to rep for them. I'm speaking of Atlanta...might be different in your town.
