You just "leave" conversations and that'll delete them.

Found it. You have to leave each conversation individually. What a pain in the ass that is.

I was able to select multiple messages and use a drop-down menu to "leave conversations" and do it in bulk.

If one makes a conversation post, exits the screens, thinks better of a specific comment made and goes back to the conversation, how does one edit their conversation post?
