Got a call from a young man yesterday, wanting to enroll in a ACA Plan.

Even with the extension, isn't it too late, unless you have a qualifying event, to enroll in a health plan for 2016?

If app is completed by January 15th, he will have a February 1st effective date. If completed between Jan 16th and Jan 31st, will have a March 1st effective date. No apps after January 31st unless he has a qualifying event or the gubment decides to extends the enrollment period.

I guess it's asking too much to expect a licensed agent to go spend 2 minutes looking up information before posting something.

Yeah. But not very into selling health insurance. Have no interest in learning the ins and outs. If it comes across my desk, I'll sell it. Otherwise, I have no interest in selling it.

    I'd rather get answers here.

Do you do used cars too? It might be worth referring out business you "have no interest in learning" about. Making sure your clients have competent advice and service about their coverage goes a long way in building a relationship that leads to referral after referral... More money, less E&O problems!
