Is it usually excluded on most HO3s? Coverage for dock liability and is the dock itself covered in 'other structures' ? Thank you!
Coverage for a Dock on a HO3 Policy

Just had a claim on this with Erie. Erie does cover the dock as other structures. This particular client had a floating boat house attached to the dock. They covered it for all perils except flood of course. After the week long rainfall we had here the structure and dock was damaged by a log floating in the water. Claim was denied due to the flood exclusion saying that any floating debris damage is also considered flood. So beware of how the HO-3 reads. I read the policies with all of my other carriers and they use the exact same wording.
