Disability Limits Question

I'm from New York, and looking to find out about any legal limit on the amount an individual can receive through a disability policy? For example, can a guy collect on Workers Comp, an individual DI policy, and his employer's group DI policy, even if those claims pushed him far over his pre-disability salary? Can he collect, say, 180% of his gross salary through DI?

I know that insurance companies will try to avoid over-indemnifying through the application process, and even demand reimbursement if the individual is "overpaid", but is there a law? I've searched, but can't locate it. If someone knows, please direct me to it.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Short answer is NOPE. Been there, attempted that, wording's been changed over the years.

You will need to read the contract as there will be terms for just such a situation.

How the policies fall into place will also matter. My son is set up with roughly 110% of his income in the case of disability.
