If you can not find any sources for people who responded to a mortgage protection mailer, another angle you might want to consider is getting aged life insurance leads of people who went online to get a life insurance quote and use the same pitch of getting enough insurance on themselves that the beneficiaries could use to cover paying off the mortgage if something were to happen to them.

I've used Leadco before and was fairly pleased. As the housing markets picks up you'll hear more about them... it's all cyclical.
