The person on phone enrollment stated if you answer no to that question you can't get a subsidy. That doesn't make sense because if you don't have medical bills why would you say yes. Is that dingbat right??

My last client said NO to that question on her online app through HealthCare.gov and she got a subsidy.
Makes 0 sense to answer yes to a question when you have no medical bills :1baffled:

The "person on the phone enrollment" is just READING from HC.gov website (online enrollment screen).
That pertains to Medicaid!
Medicaid gives people help paying their PAST medical bills.

I always answer "NO" to that question (at HC.gov).
It DOES give them subsidies (after answering "no").

Yep!....dingbat

Healthcare.gov is so out of date that it also asks questions to ascertain if the applicant(s) need the CLASS Act Long Term Care Insurance. That program was cancelled about a year ago. (i.e. Do you need help eating, standing up, not standing up, etc..)
