Does anyone know if Trump has a plan to replace Obamacare yet?

Can't say with certainty, but my guess is no.

I believe the funding (subsidy) is due to expire this summer. If nothing is done to extend/modify it Obmacare will self destruct.

They might take a closer look at carrier profit, much like the SAY they are doing with MA plans, and make some adjustments to carrier funding but that is just a WAG.

There are plenty of spaces to cut department funding, office space, personnel, redundant bureaucracy, etc and I suspect Obamacare and MA cuts will happen later rather than sooner.

That's another WAG

These responses are not at all what I anticipated.

New tariffs will increase healthcare costs by 20%, easily. And that will flow right down to health insurance premiums. Look at where our medical supplies come from.

Im confused, Why do I keep seeing things like this

Insurance cost have gone way up in the last 4 years

I got an email JUST this morning that the stable interest rates are going up, to buy a home now before Trump is in office??

But the interest rates went up AFTER he was in office
6% is insane Under Trump it was under 3 even near 2% at one point

here is another article

He is not even in office yet

Premiums had steep hikes 5 and 6 years ago as well. Right after increased tariffs on China... the country most of our medical equipment comes from.

But if you look at a line graph of premium increases, its not that far out of line vs. historical increases since ACA took effect. Group is steady eddy even prior to ACA.

However, if the goal is to decrease premiums.... or at least stop the huge increases.... increasing prices on medical goods in not going to help that goal. That is a non-partisan fact based statement. Biden is included since he did not roll them back or create needed exemptions.

But premium increases go far beyond any one president or policy.

The group market is what created steep increases. Big biz with deep pockets didnt blink an eye at premium increases back in the 90s and early 2000s. Insurers were supposed to regulate costs.... but had every financial incentive to not do so.... ACA made that even worse.

The entire system needs major structural shifts. It goes beyond ACA, Trump, Obama, MA, poor people, rich people, middle class. All of us are f*cked by the current system, just in different ways.
