E&O for Less...not renewing master policy...?

I was notified today through the mail that my current E&O will not be renewed due to the master policy not being renewed. I contacted E&O for Less and they said I would have to reapply as if it was new coverage.

Has anyone else had this come about or any suggestions for other E&O policies that won't break the bank?

What is wrong with applying for new coverage?

I believe E&O for Less is offering a similar policy through their new master policy. Also Mercer is offering coverage under basically identical terms as before, just no connection to E&O for Less or NEA.

Just got my renewal notice from Calsurance. $427 annually.

If you are worried about retro date, check the application. It should mention if there is coverage or not as long as continuously insured.
