They don't ask about it on the application, and it says decline if they use oxygen in the underwriting guide, but otherwise I am wondering if they will take it. The lady does not smoke and only uses spiriva and advair. Any thoughts?

Don't they ask on the 2nd set of questions? To qualify at the higher rates?

Nope. I just checked. No lung or COPD questions other than Oxygen.

That is their niche. I believe she would qualify for Aetna too.

I haven't used Aetna for med supps yet, but they recently came in Ohio with some phenomenal G rates. Have they ironed out the eapp yet?

The only issue I have with Aetna (and it's not a game changer by any means) is that their application is way too long. There are significantly more health questions than any other carrier AND, once we have completed the app., an Aetna underwritter calls and asks the same questions all over again.

Kinda tough on the applicants in my opinion.

No other issuea with them at all.

You know what the only place the app seems too long is where they ask for doc info, Honestly I only usually put down primary and main specialist. I don't put down every doc they will find that out any way.I have not had any issues with that

If a person has too many main specialist I will shy away from Aetna unless it is the plan reasonable price they can qualify for

I agree, 30-45 minute telephone interview. I actually sat in on one, a little too much IMO. But I'll still submit business!

We write a ton of Aetna, all of it e-app'd. Just cruise through the app with the client on the phone, then tell then you'll be conferencing them into the automated line to sign by phone. Get the reference number at the end of the call, enter in online and click submit.

If they're OE you're done. If they're UW, also tell them that after that they will need to call the 800 number to do a phone interview. Do not conference yourself in on that call.
