Got another difficult case. Female in Louisiana, age 48, been on Medicare due to disability for several reasons since 2000.

She has a Medicare Supplement through Pennsylvania Life Plan F but she is paying $370 per month. Can not keep paying this price. Looking for something less expensive.

She is diabetic taking oral meds and about 5 different meds for high blood pressure - Worse is that she has RA and goes to the doctor every 6 weeks and gets 5 vials of Remicade.

I told her that I did not think there was anything I could do to help, but wanted to asks all you rpos if you have any ideas.

Thanks,

Billy W

You might want to try AARP. I'm not sure, but they might have a GI med supp for her.
I'm sure, if I'm wrong, I'll be corrected.

AARP is age 50 and older for Disability Medicare supplements. Also, you need to be applying during your Open Enrollment or a Guarantee Issue period.

I'm not licensed Louisiana. I can't believe she would have any options for changing to a diff med supp.

1 vial of Remicade is @$800 to $1000.

Remicade is covered under Part B.

I assume this lady already has a Medicare Part D plan?
