Fee Splits Indy Agency

Loaded question. Is there a base salary or is it straight commission? Personal lines or commercial? Small accounts or large? Big agency or small?
 
P&C personal home and auto. Medium size. Well established ind agency. Comm only.
 
50% of new and 50% on renewal should be your goal. Some agencies may offer you a little more on new for the first year. Where did they start the negotiation at?
 
Haven't gotten that far. It is my P&C guy. He has been sending me Med Supp, IGP, disability referrals and mentioned on the phone needing extra help with Auto and Home leads and said he would like to talk about it.
